Questions & Answers

Q: Why is a live model required?  Can I use a mannequin stead?
A: Because your salon clients are real people- not mannequins!  We want you to become an expert in practical extensions application, and this required communication with your client.  A mannequin can't tell you the look they're going for, or if you place the fusion tool too close to their scalp.  Extensions are about personalization and in order to perform the perfect service, it is
necessary to learn in a "real world" environment.
Q: I'm already Tony Odisho certified in fusion extensions.  Do I have to pay the full tuition to
become certified in Express tape?

A: Absolutely not!  Stylists who are already Tony Odisho certified in one method are encouraged to become certified in the other.  For example, if you've already taken the Fusion class, the only cost for the Express tape certification would be the cost of the tool and the cost of your model's hair.  It's also important to note that TO certified stylists receive complementary brush up courses and continued business support!
Q: Do I have to be a licensed cosmetologist to become certified?
A: Certificates of Completion are given to licensed cosmetologists only.  Current or recently
graduated cosmetology students are welcomed and encouraged to attend our courses, and a Certification of Completion will be mailed upon state licensure.
Q: My entire salon would like to become certified.  Do you offer group discounts?
A: Definitely!  We love nothing more than training salons to become extensions experts, and we will work with you to put together a discounted rate for groups of 4 or more stylists within a salon.  Please contact Kristen Garcia, our Marketing & Business Development Director for more
information.
Q: How long is the class?
A: Fusion certification courses last approximately 6 hours from start to finish.  Express tape
certification courses last approximately 3-4 hours from start to finish.  We are licensed by the State of Illinois as a Registered C.E. Sponsor.  Students will receive 5 Continuing Education Units in each the Fusion and Express Tape certification courses.
